BBQ Chicken Wings and Thighs

Ingredients:

  • 2x Chicken Drumsticks and Thighs
  • 2x Chicken wings
  • Homemade BBQ sauce (recipe on my page)
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 tsp Blendship SPG Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Blendship All Purpose Seasoning
  • Fresh coriander
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Chilli Flakes

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F/200°C.
  2. Pat the chicken legs and wings dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving crispy skin.
  3. Place the chicken in a large bowl. Drizzle with avocado or veg oil and season with Blendship SPG and All Purpose Seasonings. Toss everything together until the chicken is evenly coated.
  4. Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet (if you have one). Arrange the chicken legs and wings on the wire rack, skin side up, making sure they are spaced apart for even cooking.
  5. Place the chicken in the preheated oven. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the oven. Generously brush your BBQ sauce over each piece of chicken.
  7. Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the sauce is caramelised and sticky. Keep a close eye on it to avoid burning.
  8. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving. This helps the juices redistribute, keeping the meat juicy.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs, sesame seeds and chilli flakes if desired, and serve hot.
